Sara’s Super Soft 1,2,3 Bread
In this video, my friend Sara teaches me how she makes her super soft and delicious homemade bread.

What you’ll need:
1 Tablespoon Yeast
1 Tablespoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Oil
3 Tablespoons Sugar
10 - 10 1/2 Cups Bread or All Purpose Flour divided (4 Cups + 6 to 6 1/2 Cups)
Crisco or Oil for your bread pan
2 bread pans
Start by dissolving 1 tablespoon of yeast into 2 Cups of Water- (adding a sprinkle of sugar over the yeast to give it a quick boost and ensure your yeast is active).
Wait 5-10 until the yeast has bloomed.
Add 1 Tbsp Salt salt.
Add 3 Tablespoons of sugar.
Add 2 Tablespoons of oil.
Add 4 Cups of Bread Flour to your mixer
Attach your dough hook, and set your mixer to medium speed for 3 minutes
Turn the speed down on your mixer and slowly add 1/2 cup of flour until you’ve added up to 6 1/2 Cups; the dough will have pulled away from your mixer, it will be soft, smooth, and no longer sticky.
Keep your dough in the mixing bowl, and using your hands, coat the dough in oil, making sure to get the sides and bottom.
Cover with plastic wrap, sackcloth, or a clean kitchen towel and allow to rise for 1 hour.
Meanwhile, prepare your bread pans with butter, Crisco, or oil.
After 1 hour, take your ball of dough and knead it or slap it on a clean surface, rolling and stretching it with each turn. This helps develop the gluten structure and can help introduce small pockets of air into the dough, making it lighter and more airy. This can also help evenly distribute ingredients like salt or yeast throughout the dough, ensuring a consistent flavor and texture.
Once you have slapped and rolled your dough, halve it by weight or your best guestimation and put each half into your well-oiled/greased bread pans.
PRE-HEAT YOUR OVEN to 350°
Allow your dough to rise for a second time for approximately 30 minutes.
After your dough's second rise, place it in your oven and allow it to cook for 30-40 minutes.
Cooking time can vary due to altitude, barometric pressure, and other factors, so you will want to check your bread every 5 minutes after the first 30 minutes to ensure you do not overcook it.
Once they are done baking, turn them out of your bread pan, place them on a cooling rack, and allow them to cool for 30 minutes, or if you’re like us, enjoy it hot with some homemade butter, and enjoy!
